Caribana is a quaint café style restaurant near the Puerto Aventuras Marina serving breakfast and lunch every day. The made-to-order breakfasts offer a typical Mexican variety with tortillas to accompany most orders. Three lunch options are made fresh daily for a “comida corrida”, or lunch on the run, approach. Beginning with a soup of the day, (cream of asparagus soup, chicken noodle, and vegatable soup are a few of the varieties), the lunches also include a plate of some Mexican speciality, for example: bistek (a thin steak of beef), rice, salad, and mashed potatoes. A fresh agua de Jamaica (a tea brewed from hibiscus flowers) accompanies the lunch, though soft drinks are also available. The best part about Caribana is the price tag; all that food for $45.00 pesos!
