Casa Cenote

Casa Cenote
Casa Cenote, an open-air, gigantic palapa restaurant sits directly upon the white sand beach of Tankah offering an excellent variety of regional and American classics. Be sure to make it to one of the famous Sunday Texas Barbeques. Every Sunday, since the restaurant opened 12 years ago, Gary has offered an outstanding feast fit for the carnivore in each of us (vegetarians obviously excluded!).

Gary prepares different meat (ribs, brisket, pork loin, or chicken) as well as a couple of different sides (coleslaw, beans, potato salad, broccoli-cheese-caserole, pasta salad, etc) for his buffet. For those of you not able to make it on Sunday, or if you are just not in the BBQ frame of mind, there is a full menu featuring seafood, burgers, nachos, and countless other scrumptious selections. Do keep in mind that the famous ‘palapa papas’ are better than any French-fry you will ever find! De-lish…

Casa Cenote also offers a full bar for your vacationing needs. Two recommendations are the Bloody Mary’s and Margaritas. Both are excellent! You can easily make Casa Cenote into a half or a full daytrip with the countless things to do while visiting this establishment. Snorkeling in the bay or in the cenote are among two of these not-no-be-missed activities.
