Sequence of Events
Opening ceremony with a special singing performance by "Wicker." Truly a class act! 
We will  invite everyone onto the catwalk to participate in our contest!
A panel of judges will preside to elect Best Dressed Female and Male Category, and Best Look Alike Female and Male Category!
No Red Carpet Ceremony this year because we want all of you to model on the Catwalk and have your picture taken by the paparazzi! Practice your poses! We won't be interviewing you, just look great and smile!
Bet for the Oscar winners.
Enjoy our delicious Appetizer buffet (TBA).

Tickets on sale with Victor $100 pesos per person 
He will reserve your table at the same time
All proceeds will be earmarked for our Entrance Beautification Project.

The $100 pesos donation will go in its entirety towards the Entrance to Akumal Project. What is included for your donation:

The Betting for the winners of the Oscars in 4 categories. If you participated in this last year, you spent the $100 pesos. In addition to this, you get a chance to win various prizes with our raffles that will be going on throughout the evening. We are getting some very nice prizes together. It also includes the prizes for the Best Dressed categories and of course the prizes for those that guess the Oscars.

Wicker is donating her performance so there is not a cover charge.

This event is primarily for the locals. We advertise it to everyone of course and everyone is welcome. We want this event to raise more money than it has in all the past years. Of all our fundraisers, this one takes the most work and raises that least amount of money.

If we get a good turnout, with everyone donating just $100 pesos, we can make this fundraiser a success. In addition to what is made from this event, we already have 3 pledges for this Project to improve the safety and aesthetics of the Entrance. This is not only for the tourists to enjoy, but also for all the locals that walk over from the Pueblo and need to have better lighting and a bicycle path.

The 3 pledges are:

Gonzalo Arcila $1,000 US
North Akumal Resident $500 US
Laura and David Wolfe $1,000 US

This is a great start to a very much needed project for everyone to benefit from. We need your reservations in order to ensure a successful event!

If anyone would like to volunteer to be MC for the Red Carpet Ceremony, I would be very happy to set it up! If not, I will be the MC again, and I will be introducing you to the audience before you take your walk on the catwalk we are going to set up. At that time, feel free to say anything you want about who you are, what you are wearing, etc. With the catwalk set up, everyone at the event will have a better look at all the stars!

We may just have some special appetizers and specialty drinks to complement the evening instead of a buffet to keep the price down and in case we don't have enough reservations for this event.
