Origin: From Mexico to Brazil, known to the rest of the world in the 1700s. Description: Tropical climber reaching heights of up to 30ft / 9mts tall when growing in a tropical climate, but it is possible to grow in colder climates in a pot with sufficient light and temperatures no lower than 55oF or 12oC. The best blooming time is during the spring and summer. However, if you happen to live in tropical weather, like Akumal, you will be able to enjoy these magnificent flowers year round in full sun. Bouganvillea’s colors range from purple, pale pink, white, orange, to red. Watering Needs: When you water your bouganvillea, soak thoroughly. Do not water again until the soil is visibly dry. Propagation: Seeds or cuttings in all-purpose soil. Medicinal Properties: A tea made from the dried flowers, especially the red flowers, is a great expectorant. Sus colores intensos van desde el morado al rosa mexicano, blanco, anaranjado, y rojo. Forma de Riego: Cuando riegues sus buganvillea, riegalas abundantemente. Luego, espera hasta que se vean secas para volverlas a regar. Propagacion: Por medio de semillas or esquejes.
