Located along the beautiful shore of Akumal bay, nestled amongst the palm trees is a unique Caribbean destination. Hotel Akumal Carib is a quaint, intimate resort located in the heart of Akumal, 50 miles south of Cancún.

Beachfront Hotel
Our three story building has 21 rooms, all facing the pool and the main bay. All are bright and airy, with a balcony for a better view. You can either use the air conditioning to keep you cool, or go natural and let the breeze through (and use the ceiling fans for extra breeze!). The rooms have either a king size bed or two double beds, some also come with a kitchenette. Some are inter-connecting. All have air conditioning, ceiling fans, and mini refrigerators.
Bungalows
When staying at the bungalows, the feeling is one of comfort and charm. These were the first accommodations available in Akumal, and have since been remodeled and upgraded, of course, but the charm of the bungalow style hotel room is still there, and few hotels today build their rooms with such spaciousness and as separate units. Instead, they build up, and squeeze as many units as possible in as little land.
Lol-Ha Restaurant and Snack Bar
By far, the Lol Ha restaurant has the best reputation of consistent quality and friendly service in Akumal!!!! We pride ourselves in having proved over the years that personal attention, and a dedicated staff make a difference.
We have a very diverse menu. You can order many authentic local dishes, prepared by hand by our Mayan staff. My personal favorite at the snack bar is the Mexican Plate, which is a sampler of some yucatecan finger food. (Don't even think about your diet with this one, but it is all flavor, and fresh ingredients!)
