HowiE Xamach aka Ron Atkinson

Howie Xamach, aka Ron Atkinson, was born in Vancouver, Canada in 1953. He has had a varied career that included tourism for two years before, during and after Expo 86. While he and his wife were raising their two children, Ron worked for a building supply dealer for 28 years.

Recently downsized from the work world in Vancouver, he has moved to the Sian Ka'an to prepare for the arrival of his wife. During the first years of their marriage, Cami was very supportive while Ron was first a rock climber, then extreme snow skier, and finally a hang glider pilot representing Canada in world competitions. Her support has continued while Howie takes on a new challenge. The Sian Ka'an was chosen for the adventure and challenge of living a remote lifestyle.
