Tulum Night Show |
On May 1st 2008 an exciting new way to visit Tulum premiered--"Tulum de Noche". This Sound & Light experience combines a guided walking tour of the Tulum ruins at night with the outstanding interactive audioguide tour available in a variety of language. Tulum de Noche is open every night of the year from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and the cost of your ticket includes roundtrip transportation up to the ruins from the parking lot. The spectacular lighting combines with the calls of wild animals, the ancient Mayan language and the sounds of the sea to offer a very exciting nighttime activity.
The "Tulum de Noche" Sound & Light show is produced by Coyohualli, the premier Mexico City company reknown for the audioguide tour at the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City, Uxmal, the pyramids at Luxor and many others. Advance reservations are not necessary.
Myrna Sparks was there the very first night and recommends this to others. She told us "We went in a small group of six with a guide. You can go anytime between 8 and 11 p.m. and choose your headset in your language. The guide doesn't do any of the talking but only guides you through leading you with his flashlight. It is wonderful and such a novel way to experience Tulum."
