Las Vigas

Built by a Mexican architect who visited New Mexico for inspiration, the villa has a Santa Fe style exterior while the interior is decorated in a mixture of Santa Fe, Mexican, Spanish and Italian. Las Vigas is the owners’ "dream home".

Stroll through gorgeous gardens teeming with tropical palms as you make your way up to the carved doors which part to reveal an Akumal vacation home that combines graceful and elegant touches with the warmth of natural wood. Spanning the overhead air space of the entry hall are numerous exposed beams of carved wood, accentuated by sunlight filtering down through thoughtfully placed skylights. Step into the living area of this luxury vacation villa by passing between two impressive natural "tree" columns. The charming Mexican sofas are piled high with soft, white pillows and are invitingly comfortable. Elegant Oriental rugs are scattered throughout.
