Villa Luminosa is the ultimate in a tropical getaway—and extraordinary home where inside and outside become one. With breathtaking panoramic views—from the rooftop patio, the pool deck, and several balconies overlooking Tankah Bay—the setting could not be more ideal. All bedroom and living space view the beach and water.
This newly built home, decorated in modern Mexican motif, is a stunning four-bedroom, four-bath villa which accommodates up to twelve guests. Make Villa Luminosa your "home away from home" during your vacation in Mexico
You enter Villa Luminosa through an open air Stair Tower decorated with light forms and shadows.
As you reach the first level of the home, you enter an open courtyard with a large bedroom on each side. Your first view is the palms, bay, and spectacular step down pool. The large courtyard, multi-level deck, and swimming pool are surrounded by lush tropical palms and plants with steps that lead you to the beach. The lovely and private setting makes this an easy and thoroughly memorable stay.
There is a large communal dining room table in the courtyard as well as an outdoor kitchen—grill, sink, etc. Both bedrooms have sliding doors that open to the pool deck. Each bedroom has a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot—dishes and glassware. Each bedroom has a king bed and a twin studio bed (couch or bed for third person).
One level up takes you to the “Main House” with a breathtaking view of Tankah Bay over the palms trees. You will enjoy sunrises and sunsets from the expansive palapa-covered deck. The large centrally located great room offers a fully-equipped kitchen; eat at bar; dining area; conversation area; and office area. The focal point of the great room is a naturally sculptured jungle tree that extends from the floor, through the bar, to the ceiling. There are two large bedrooms, each with private bath. One bedroom has a king bed and the other has two queens.
The rooftop terrace with a palapa covered wet bar, dining table, and comfortable lounges is perfect for sunning and enjoying the beauty of the sunrises and sunsets of the Mexican Riviera and magnificent stargazing.
All the furniture for the house was designed by an Mexican architect and hand made by a carpenter in Bacalar. The wood is all tzalam, and the furniture is both gorgeous and comfortable. The house is decorated with a contemporary Mexican flavor—colorful and tasteful—with a great appreciation for the setting. With handcrafted tiles and textiles, original artwork, and traditional and imported furnishings, the villa is spacious, well appointed, and tastefully decorated.
