LocoGringo.com and Lol-Ha beach bar / restaurant have teamed up to put a live webcam in the heart of Akumal Bay. In response to requests made by the LocoGringo.com message board members who loved the Playa del Carmen beach cam and wanted one in Akumal, the sandy view has allowed those stuck up north in the cold to check out their favorite place in anticipation of their next vacation to Akumal. New images cycle every 10 seconds, depending on bandwidth and Internet congestion. So, all you have to do, is let people know when to check out the webcam, then show up in your bathing suit with a cold beer in hand, and give them a wave!
People at home not only get to see you in all of your vacation glory but also the current weather – a sure way to make them green with envy. For any who wish to get a little more creative, there is a nice open strip of beach pictured, so you can even write a message in the sand! Located at the south side of Lol-Ha restaurant, have fun sending live vacation greetings from the Akumal Bay webcam.
