What a pleasure to share our November schedule, fulfilling wishes and requests that have been coming my way.
First
of all, for those who are ready to make their first step onto the mat,
we now have a Beginners Hatha class! If you are an absolute beginner,
this is for YOU! A beautiful development and one that spreads our roots
as a yoga community. Tuesdays, 8:30-9:30 a.m. Two additional classes
ideal for beginners (everybody really) is Sasha's Yin class, Thursday's
6-7:30 p.m., and the Centering practice, now at 8:30 a.m on Fridays.
On
the other side of the spectrum, we have delineated 3 classes a week for
experienced practicitioners to get a good rocked-out practice. Maybe
that will mean arm balances and inversions, maybe that will mean more
mantras and meditation (deep diving), maybe even
rockin' vinyasa.
We do have some new teachers on the schedule:
Christine Furler slipped in under low season auspices and is offering a
Jivamukti class (a beautiful strong practice), Tuesdays 6-7:30 p.m.
Victor Varana has been teaching in Tulum and Playa for some time now and
is bringing his own Alquimia Yoga to us: Two different practices, two
different days 7-8:15 a.m. Thursdays are Progressive Yoga Flow and
Saturdays 8:30-10 a.m. are Warrior Arts Vinyasa (yes, he will kick it with this
one!). And latest breaking news is Karl Saliter, another Playa yogi, is
visiting Akumal as an Ondarte Resident Artist and has agreed to offer a
7:00 a.m. class Wednesday mornings Hatha/Vinyasa!
As we are on hold
to know whether our beloved Michael Stewart will be able to make it
this season, we welcome the men/man energy to balance out our studio
offerings.
Also, please spread the word: Leticia teaches two classes weekly in Spanish by donation only! Monday
and Wednesday evenings 7:30-9:00 p.m. A wonderful opportunity for many in our community!
